Linux Remote Wipe
Linux Remote Wipe is affordable, easy to setup and initiate.
To Remote Wipe your Linux machine, go to the Device page in DriveStrike.
- Click “Wipe” and you will be prompted to enter your credentials again to confirm the remote data erasure action.
- After you confirm the remote wipe action, DriveStrike issues a secure command that the Linux laptop will execute.
- Once DriveStrike receives and executes the command the data on your Linux laptop will be securely erased and the laptop will require a new operating system installation before you can use the laptop again.
Linux Remote Wipe with DriveStrike is easy to setup and initiate. DriveStrike is installed as a service with administrative privileges providing DriveStrike elevated access rights to critical components necessary to execute a remote wipe. When an authorized DriveStrike administrator initiates a Remote Wipe using the Dashboard a secure wipe command is immediately ordered. As soon as the Linux device connects to the internet DriveStrike executes the remote wipe command erasing your sensitive data. Keep in mind that the DriveStrike Remote Wipe will also erase all data contained on any physically attached drive including USB drives and sticks, DriveStrike will NOT erase or wipe networked drives.
